Come along to The UX Crunch, where we will be exploring UX in the Corporate World. Hosted by News UK in partnership with La Fosse Associates, this is going to be an awesome event, offering some great insights into how you an learn to both implement and utilise UX within a large corporate structure.
Through a series of talks you will learn how to engage the wider business in understanding the power of UX and the integral part it plays in a company’s wider digital transformation.
Our speakers will explain the ways in which UX can change the face of your company, for the better. By embracing UX you can break down the pre-existing corporate barriers, allowing your company to grow, develop and profit.

Joe Frost, Head of UX&D @ News UK
How UX&D work within News UK and survival tips for working within large enterprise.
Joe will be sharing the challenges UX&D face within a large structure such as News UK, highlighting the processes he has implemented to assure UX&D’s voice gets heard and their message lands within the business.
Joe has 17 years experience in publishing across digital and print media, and has worked for titles including GQ, MAXIM, NME and now News UK. Presently Joe runs the UX&D department which works across the Times, Sunday Times, and The Sun. Outside of work, Joe loves running, playing guitar and playing the occasional gig.
Leslie Fountain, Executive Director @ Foolproof
A company that is 140 years old and has compliance and regulatory guidelines based on the days of print, have a lot of hurdles to get over to shift to an ‘agile’ UX design and iterate way of working!
Leslie will share the story of how a pharmaceutical, through working with a UX agency, started to shift its culture from one that was marketing led, to user and customer led. By understanding their perspective and pain points, Leslie will share how she helped them to shift from pushing products and messages to servicing real needs.
As Executive Director at Foolproof Leslie has the luxury of combining her passion for human-centered design with helping some of the world’s biggest brands to solve complex design challenges. She feels fortunate to be leading and nurturing an international team which contains some of the best talent in the industry.
Over the past couple of years Leslie has been working within healthcare, helping organisations transform their digital thinking and business culture.
Throughout her career Leslie has learnt from and worked with inspirational leaders who, like her, are driven to push the boundaries of experience design and give back to the communities they’ve learnt from. Because of this, Leslie is a regular speaker at industry events, sharing her stories and experiences, and is an active member of SDN UK, UXPA and BIMA.
Before Foolproof Leslie was the Joint Managing Director at System Concepts, where she helped to build their UX team and worked with clients such as Amadeus, Microsoft and the New York Stock Exchange. She loves playing ice hockey (like a true Canadian), skiing, running, gardening and is an urban explorer!
Jim Stevenson, CEO @ Bletchley Group
UX Led Digital Transformation
Jim will discuss UX led digital transformation, detailing the typical challenges organisations and senior stakeholders face and offering examples of how UX can overcome these.
Jim is the CEO of Bletchley Group, an International Digital Growth Consultancy focusing on Digital Strategy, Innovation and Transformation (Marketing, Product and Technology) and is Founder and CEO of Tech Startup Machine, advising and mentoring Entrepreneurs to realise their dream.
With the creation of new management and product development techniques, Jim has spent 17 years helping organisations to implement these, identify opportunities and build an internal capability to maximise these techniques leading to business and revenue growth. He was worked across industry sectors with large and small organisations such as News International, The Guardian, M&S, BUPA, RBS, Bacardi, Selfridges and startups such as Medicine Africa, Pact Coffee.
